Overview
How we transformed this business
The Problem
Al Sondos holds exclusive Egyptian agency for Rasasi, Swiss Arabian and Azha. The site had to carry that standing, and it had to be delivered at the scope this stage of the business could commit to rather than the one we would have built with no limit.
Our Approach
We reviewed the whole scope and made the trade in the open: performance and a design that holds the brand names, at the size the stage allowed, structured so the larger version can be added later instead of replacing this one.
The Outcome
A bilingual shop carrying 354 products across men’s, women’s, unisex and sprays, a wholesale route separate from the checkout, cash on delivery and InstaPay, and shipping to every governorate in Egypt.
Project Story
From vision to launch — every step, intentional
- Al Sondos is the exclusive Egyptian agent for Rasasi, Swiss Arabian and Azha
- Part of Al Kamal Group, trading from branches in Cairo and Tanta
- The shop had to match what the company actually is in its market
- What the business could commit at this stage bought something smaller than the position called for
- We said so at the start rather than designing past it
- Recommending the larger site anyway would have stalled the project or overspent the client
- Performance, and a design that holds the brand names properly
- The rest was cut rather than thinned out across everything
- Built so the larger version adds on top instead of replacing what was paid for
- The shop was set up after the design was signed off
- 354 products were uploaded across the categories
- Every product exists in Arabic and in English
- The client reviewed the site with the catalogue already in place
- It was approved and handed over
- It has been running since
What We Built
Performance & Delivery
354 Products in Two Languages
The catalogue exists in full in Arabic and in English, right to left and left to right, with the same products on both sides rather than a translated shell over an Arabic-only shop.
Categories a Buyer Actually Uses
Men's, women's, unisex and sprays, alongside the offers and the best sellers. Unisex is the largest single category at 122 products, which is why the split is not simply men and women.
The Agency, Written Down
The About page states what Al Sondos is: part of Al Kamal Group, founded 2014, the Rasasi franchise in 2020, Swiss Arabian in 2021, branches in Cairo and Tanta. An agent's credibility rests on checkable facts, not adjectives.
A Wholesale Route Separate From the Shop
Companies buying in quantity get their own page and their own path, so a corporate enquiry does not have to travel through a checkout designed for one bottle.
Cash on Delivery and InstaPay
Both are on the site with the rules written out: how an order is confirmed, what happens with a transfer screenshot, and when preparation starts.
Shipping and Returns in Writing
Delivery covers every governorate in Egypt, with preparation and delivery times given in working days, alongside published returns, privacy and terms pages.
Behind the Results
Why this project succeeded
We Said the Scope Did Not Match the Standing
Better said at the start than discovered in the middle.
The honest version was that the company deserved a bigger site than this stage could carry. Saying it once, early, costs a conversation. Discovering it halfway through costs the project. The scope was then agreed with both sides knowing exactly what was being left for later.
We Built the Stage, Not the Ambition
Nothing here has to be thrown away to grow.
The scope was cut to what the stage covered and shaped so the next stage adds to it rather than replaces it. That is a different decision from building something cheap. A cheap site gets rebuilt. This one gets extended.
The Catalogue Was Ours to Upload
We did not hand over an empty shop.
354 products went in across men's, women's, unisex and sprays, each one in Arabic and in English, before the site was reviewed. A shop handed over empty is a shop the client never finishes filling.
A Small Site That Kept Working For Us
One of the smaller builds in this portfolio.
This was not a large project and we have never presented it as one. It has still brought us and the partner more enquiries than its size would suggest, which is the reason it is in the portfolio at all.
